School Portraits
$35
This one-location 15-minute digital session will provide you with 4-7 poses of your student. 10% discount for subsequent same-household students booked in back-to-back sessions in the same location. (Ex: $35, $31.50, $28.35...).
Family
$225
Almost all family sessions can be completed in one hour at a single location. We will discuss ahead of time what your vision is for your session. If you or I feel extra time is needed, we will defer to the "Family...and then some" rate listed below.
Family...and then some
$275
This rate is better suited for families consisting of more than 6 people, runaway toddlers, and multiple location shoots. I will reserve ninety minutes and allot for two locations within 10 miles of one another.
Seniors - Scholar Package
$225
Some seniors don't need or want all the bells and whistles. This 1hr, 20min session is at a single location and does not include wardrobe changes, but DOES allow for cap and gown inclusion over whatever you chose to wear for your one-hour session.
Seniors - Salutatorian Package

We'll slow things down a bit with this session. You'll get 1hr, 45 min. blocked off. We can use two locations within 10 miles of one another and even one or two wardrobe changes (in addition to cap and gown inclusion).
Seniors - Valedictorian Package

With 2hr, 15min. set aside, we'll have time for multiple wardrobe changes, up to three locations, and can incorporate some BFF shots. Note: This is still billed as ONE senior, but it's fun to share this achievement!
Engagement

It's time to feature the start of your "happily ever after". We can shoot where you said YES, a favorite park, or even some place completely new to you. This 90-minute session will help decorate those new walls with your love!
Don't Blink Double Minis

I designed this package as a before/after capture. Whether you have an unseen baby bump, a new pet, or want to see how much your little one grows in one k-11 school year, these are perfect for you! Approx. 20 total images on thumbdrive.
Maternity

Congratulations!! Whether you're looking to capture that bare belly, feature it in a flowing maternity gown, or just casually flaunt its beauty, we'll find just what you're looking for. I will block ninety minutes for your maternity session.
Business/Headshots

This sessions are pretty cut and dry, so the pricing is simple. You'll receive a 25-minute digital download session in one location.

FAQ
When will I get my photos?
Typically, you will have your thumb drive within one month of our session. During busier times, I'll ask for extra time, but it will never take me longer than six weeks. Please remember I scrutinize every image for unwanted components including, but not limited to blemishes, tooth brightening (when necessary), strong wrinkle lines in unsightly spots on clothing, people in the background, street signs, fire hydrants, and anything I find distracting. I'm VERY picky about things that you and many photographers may oversee...but that's one of the things that sets me aside from the rest.
How will my photos be delivered?
With the exception of business/headshots, K-11 photos, and seasonal minis (pumpkins, Christmas cards, etc), your finalized images will be provided on a thumb drive and mailed directly to you. The thumb drive will also contain your print release so that you can print on whatever medium, whatever size(s) suit you best. Thumb drives are property of SURGE Images and will be reused on subsequent sessions. Replacement thumb drives are $20 and duplicate/multiple thumb drives are $15.
Business/headshots and seasonal minis will be provided digitally on a private, password-protected website. Your digital session print release will be emailed to you in pdf format.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am in Lancaster, Ohio. My rates include a 20-mile one-way trip to our shooting location. If your location exceeds that, you will know in advance what travel fees will be incurred.
How do you accept payment? What if the weather turns sour on shooting day?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in my calendar. Your deposit will be payed through Facebook Pay/PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check (your appointment will be reserved once your check has been received and has cleared).
Your remaining balance must be paid on or before session date and can be made by cash or electronic transfer. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON SESSION DATE.
If SURGE Images is forced to reschedule due to inclement weather, your deposit will transfer to the new appointment.
Mini sessions must be prepaid electronically in-FULL to lock in your time slot. If SURGE Images postpones a mini session due to weather and you are unavailable for the rescheduled date and time, you will be offered a full refund.
Do you give hero discounts?
YES!! I am most grateful for those who are true heroes in my book. Military (active and Veteran), Law Enforcement, First Responders, and (added in 2020) nurses and teachers will receive 10% off their session price. This discount is not given on overtime or travel rates, nor can it be used for modified-pricing on seasonal mini sessions unless specified in the details of the mini.
What other discounts do you offer?
I VERY much appreciate referrals. They drive my business and I like to thank you for "talking up" SURGE Images. If you refer me to someone (it can be a friend via word of mouth, someone seeing your tagged photo on Facebook, etc.), you will get 10% off your next session.
If you choose to do your child's school photos with me, I will take 10% off each subsequent child booked in the same session. These are billed as headshots and are the only already-discounted sessions which qualify for a further discount.
Do you work at rental locations?
Absolutely!! Locally, I've worked extensively at Proparazzi and spent time at The Hitching Post Ranch and Henry Manor. I'm happy to join you at any paid venue, but please know that you will be responsible for time rental (as well as coordinating timeframes with both the vendor and SURGE Images), parking fees, admission fees, etc.
What is your cancellation policy?
TRADITIONAL SESSIONS:
Deposits are non-refundable, however if you reschedule due to health concerns or other emergencies, your deposit will transfer to the new appointment. If SURGE Images is forced to reschedule due to inclement weather, your deposit will transfer to the new appointment.
MINI SESSIONS:
Minis' cancellation policy is slightly different since they are typically seasonal and not-so simple to reschedule. Mini session cancellations forfeit 50% of the session fee if a refund is requested. If money is to be transferred to a future session, you will forfeit 20%. This is due to the fact that I reserve only 3 sessions per hour and I pay for the time slot (when applicable) out of my earnings without asking for additional fees above and beyond booking.
ANY NON-EMERGENCY CANCELLATION MADE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF YOUR SESSION IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE.
